Cat is a mobilization for the lumbar spine for a preset closing.
So, what you’ll find, how this will manifest will be having kind of tightness or sharp pain in a specific area just off the center of the back.
So, as we look at the spine model here, we’re going to assume that the pain is on the right side, right around here, which will be considered the lumbar thoracic junction, which is where the lumbar spine of the lower five vertebrae attached to kind of the mid back or the upper 12 vertebrae.
And so, the way we’re going to do this, so I’m going to work on stabilizing the pelvis and then applying a force to the opposite side of the spine to be able to facilitate rotation in that direction.
So, if we look at the segment here in general, if we were saying that we think it’s stuck close and not able to fully rotate and open, that we’re going to be able to stabilize here and then create a rotational gliding force to be able to try to get that to open up.
